Receptionist/Administrator, Walton
Walton Medical Centre
Walton Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active receptionist/administrator to join our team, on a part time basis for 15 to 25 hours per week, hours and days to be discussed at interview.
Walton Medical Practice is situated in the traditional seaside resort of Walton on the Naze, on the Essex Coast. They have a list size of just over 8,300 patients. The team includes 3 GP’s, a Nursing team of 10, as well as the practice manager, administrative and reception staff.
Main duties include:
Booking appointments.
Greeting patients.
Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff.
Updating patient records.
Processing correspondence and liaising with patients using various different types of communication methods.
You will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
A good standard of education including Maths and English.
Experience of working and providing excellent customer service.
Strong IT skills and be ability to use computer based systems.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Experience of SystmOne would be desirable, however full training will be given.
Previous reception experience would be an advantage, ideally in a healthcare setting.
