Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Tiptree

Tiptree Medical Centre

Tiptree Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced advanced nurse practitioner to join our practice on a fixed term basis for maternity cover. This role is offered on part-time basis, working 20 hours per week with flexibility to days and hours worked.

Tiptree Medical Centre is situated in the village town of Tiptree and serves Tiptree and its surrounding areas. They have a list size of just over 12,000 patients. The team includes 2 GP Partners and 4 salaried GPs, with 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, 3 Clinical Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician, as well as the practice manager, administrative and reception staff.


As an advanced nurse practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously, making decisions about patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Main duties will include:

  • Assess and treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries.

  • Conduct health checks and provide routine vaccinations.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to patient care plans.

You will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • A Masters Degree in Clinical Practice.

  • Be a Registered General Nurse with experience of working within primary care.

  • Be able to demonstrate continued professional development.

  • Have a diagnostic and nurse prescribing qualification.

  • Have experience of providing multi-skilled healthcare and clinical treatment and be able to work with patients and members of the public.

  • Experience of working on clinical systems with the ability to enter and use patient data efficiently, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Be able to liaise and communicate with clinical and administrative staff within the practice and partnership.
