Tiptree Medical Centre

Tiptree Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist/Care Navigator to join our practice. This role can be offered on a part-time basis for 20 - 24 hours a week.

Tiptree Medical Centre is situated in the village town of Tiptree and serves Tiptree and its surrounding areas. They have a list size of just over 12,000 patients. The team includes 2 GP Partners and 2 salaried GPs, with 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), 5 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, 2 Clinical Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician, as well as the practice manager, administrative and reception staff.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Booking appointments.
Greeting patients.
Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff.
Updating patient records.
Processing correspondence.
Liaising with patients using various types of communication methods.

You will also need to have flexibility to cover other shifts.

You will have the following:

Good standard of education including Maths and English.
Experience of working and providing customer services.
Ideally you will have reception experience, and it would be beneficial if you have experience working within primary care, however this is not essential.
Strong IT skills and be able to use computer-based systems.
Experience of SystmOne would be desirable, however full training will be given to a suitable candidate.
Excellent communication skills both written and orally.
Friendly and positive approach towards patients and other visitors either in person or over the telephone.
