Receptionist, Tiptree Medical Centre

Tiptree, Essex

Tiptree Medical Centre are looking to recruit a proactive and experienced Receptionist to join their team.

The role will be part time with exact hours to be decided in discussion.

You will be responsible for carrying out general Receptionist duties which will include but is not limited to:
• Dealing with general telephone enquiries
• Booking appointments
• You will also be expected to welcome patients into the branch in a timely and professional manner
• Processing daily post including mail, email and courier mail – maintaining confidentiality
• Action tasks to reception team & daily brief meeting
• Answer emails that are received via email as well as from patients within the practice – liaising with colleague to provide accurate information
• Registrations and temporary resident processing

Interviews will be carried out for successful applicants on receipt of CV and covering letter, and we reserve the right to retract the advert if a suitable person is found before the end date.

The ideal candidate
You will have a good standard of education, including Maths and English and have experience of working in and providing customer service. You will ideally have experience of working within a Receptionist role, it would be beneficial if you had some experience of working within a Primary Care General Practice position, but this is not essential. You will have experience of receiving and making telephone calls – a professional manner is expected at all times.
You will need to have strong IT skills and be able to use computer based systems. Experience of SYSTMONE web would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

You must be organised, have strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing, be able to communicate with internal staff as well as external agencies and patients, and have a strong understanding of confidentiality. You must be able to work effectively within a team as well as being able to work independently, without supervision.
