Colte Partnership - Being an Anchor Institution

The Colte Partnership is extremely privileged to have been acknowledged as an Essex Anchor Institution. An anchor institution is a large organisation that are unlikely to relocate and have a significant stake in their local area, making a strategic contribution to the local economy alongside its main function.

As a Partnership we have adopted the Anchor Institution Progression Framework which builds on the foundations of our scale, togetherness and stability to ensure that core aspects of societal progress are woven into the fabric of 'Colte', for example: 

• A commitment to inclusive recruitment, supporting those with additional needs and recognising the valuable contribution they would bring to our organisation.

• Actively introducing procurement processes which invest in the local economy and community.

• Playing an active part in the community, engaging with community events, providing resources to support local development.

• Working closer with partners to operate more efficiently: financially, environmentally and socially.
