As a Primary Care Partnership based in the heart of a barracks community, supporting our Armed Forces and their families is hugely important to us.
If you are a serving or former member of the Armed Forces, or a family member, please contact your Practice and tell them this is the case and we can note this on your record to ensure we are able to offer you the additional support that NHS England provides for you.
We are very proud to be able to report that our commitment to signing the Armed Forces Covenant has been accepted - the signed covenant can be seen here.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

The Covenant supports serving personnel, service leavers, veterans, and their families, and is fulfilled by the different groups that have committed to making a difference.
The Colte Partnership has been awarded Armed Forces veteran friendly accreditation across all 9 of our Branches. In order to achieve this we have been able to
demonstrate that:
• Practices provide evidence that they are supportive of veterans’ healthcare
• Accredited Practices are required to:
• Nominate clinical lead (who carries online training)
• New patients – ask if ever served in the military
• Use correct code “Military Veteran”
• Attend training
• Maintain CQC “positive accreditation”

We are actively working towards out Bronze Accreditation with tan ambition to achieve Gold Accreditation in recognition of the commitment to our Armed Forces community.

Community Drop In
We support our Armed Forces by holding monthly drop-ins to offer social interaction, general welfare (e.g. legal, financial, housing and employment advice) and wellbeing, including mental health support, in an informal, relaxed environment at the Prettygate Baptist Church.
This is held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, 1pm - 2.30pm.
You're a member of the armed forces community if you're:
-
currently serving in the armed forces- either regular or reserve.
-
a veteran who has served in the armed forces - either regular or reserve.
-
a member of the Merchant Navy who served on a commercial vessel in support of legally defined UK military operations.
-
a dependant - for example, the partner or child of someone who's currently serving in the armed forces, a veteran or a member of the Merchant Navy.
